Close-Out Procedures

Construction Inspection - Close-Out Procedures

Ending a project requires the same care, planning and attention as starting a project. The conclusion of a public works construction project means that all inspections have been completed and the project is ready for public use. The close-out process ensures that the public receives a safe, well-constructed, quality product.

The inspection process is confirmed through proper permanent documentation and record-keeping. All together, the final inspections and closeout records create a smooth transition from the “construction phase” of a project into the “in-use” phase. This course will help the learner understand the various procedures and documentation required for final inspection and acceptance of a project.

This course is part of a group of 24 courses included in the Construction Inspection 201: Project Management program. Courses can be purchased á la carte or in a program bundle at a discounted price.
