Construction Inspection - Scheduling and the Project
Scheduling is a very important part of project management. A regular review/analysis of the schedule compares actual progress to what was projected, and is a quick measure of overall project health. Critical Path scheduling provides a graphic representation of a planned sequence, duration, and inter-dependency of project activities.
A baseline schedule is the contractor's view of how they envision the project will proceed. A formal Time Impact Analysis (TIA) is used to assess the impact to a project for a change in the character of the work or a unforeseen delay. This course emphasizes the importance of initiating a baseline schedule, performing a schedule analysis and updating the schedule when changes occur during the project.
