Construction Inspection - Communication Methods
Human communication is the process of sending and receiving information. When a communication occurs, information is sent, examined, interpreted and then responded to in some way. Although the process seems straightforward and simple, people often misunderstand each other resulting in unclear and ineffective communication. Today, effective communication is essential to every occupation.
The public works construction inspector can expect to communicate with many different people during the course of a project. This presents the challenge of communicating the right information to the right people, in the right way. This course introduces the various methods of communication and provides general guidelines for effective project communication.
