The Excellence in Snow and Ice Control Award was established to promote excellence in the managment and administration of public works snow and ice operations, and to promote best practices in snow and ice control removal while minimizing environmental impacts. This year, three public works agencies are being recognized for their innovative processes and operations. Join us to hear about their efforts in materials handling, equipment maintenance, use of winter maintenance technologies, community outreach and commitment to environmental stewardship.
After Attending This Session, You Will be Better Able to:
Examine the community outreach practices and social media approaches being used by the Excellence in Snow and Ice Control award winners.
Review the practices being used by the award winners for operator training and determine if you can adapt these practices for your situations.
Discuss the various options for materials handling and equipment maintenance being used by the award winners.
