Alternative Deicer Research
5/21/2019 2:15 PM - 3:15 PM
Room: 255B

To address the issue of elevated chloride levels in surface and ground water and the associated environmental impacts these levels are causing, many agencies have been proactively making changes over the last decade in the products they select for deicing and the methods used to apply these products. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the the performance and impacts of alternative deicing methods including: non-chloride based deicers; blends of deicing products, and methods used to reduce the number of applications or the application rates of the deicers used. We'll also discuss what the future holds for deicing products and practices and we will be seeking your input on what non-traditional practices or products you may be using. This will be a great chance to learn from each other!

After Attending This Session, You Will be Better Able to:
1. Discover new and innovative deicing products.
2. Evaluative new and innovative deicing practices.
3. Learn from and share with other participants about the non-traditional practices and products you may using.
