Construction Inspection - Pre-construction Meeting: Attendees and Agenda
The purpose of the pre-construction meeting is to present the owner’s expectations, clarify the contractor’s understanding and establish a communications plan. The attendees should include construction administration staff, the contractor and any major sub-contractors, designers, impacted utility companies and local agencies or community groups.
The agenda will depend on the size and scope of the project, but should include a detailed review of the contract and bonds, construction plans, general and technical specifications, contractor submitted information, procedures for progressive payments and contact information exchange for everyone in attendance. This course provides practical advice regarding agenda items for a pre-construction meeting.
