Construction Inspection - Construction Notification
Early in the process, the inspector must ensure affected persons and/or entities are notified about the public works construction project and informed about how it will affect them. Residents, businesses, environmental agencies, utility companies, traffic agencies, school boards and transit operators should be notified as soon as possible. Appropriate forms of notification include letters, memos, personal visits, phone calls, emails and/or ads in the newspaper. This course instructs the learner of who should be notified prior to construction, what information should be shared, and what communication methods should be used.
