National Weather Service and PW, a Natural Partnership
National Weather Service staff from around the Country will provide information to attendees on NWS weather products that may be useful to public works operations, a basic tutorial on how weather radar works, an introduction to the Weather Ready Nation effort, and other weather hot topics.

 




After attending this session participant will be better able to:

  • Identify National Weather Service resources/weather products including reading weather radar and Storm Prediction Center forecasts.
  • Prepare for weather events that impact public works operations and projects using the resources available from the National Weather Service.
  • Engage with their local NWS office and the Weather Ready Nation program.



A recording of this program will be available through the Members' Library within one week of the live program.


This program has been approved for .2 CEUs or 2 PDHs. Please note there is a $7 fee per non-member individual requesting CEUs (there is no fee for members).
