The ability of organizations to clearly and concisely communicate the current state of your infrastructure to all community stakeholders is critical. Organizations are constantly needing to balance finite resources across all community wants and needs. Being able to provide a clear overview of the community's infrastructure assets greatly assists decision makers with allocating these finite resources across priorities. It also aids with making decisions on policy changes and short/long-range strategy adjustments.
The APWA Asset Management Task Force has developed Agency Infrastructure Report Templates to aid organizations with developing this overview. Because each organization has unique needs, these templates are geared to provide flexibility to manipulate content and format to suit your needs. These templates are designed to provide you with a few concepts for organizing information in a manner that is easy for readers to understand. Please replace “Agency” with the name of your City, County or other type of agency (Example: Town of Glenwillow Infrastructure Report). We hope you find them useful.
If you develop a report card for your organization, please consider sharing it with APWA for other members to learn from. APWA is striving to generate valuable resources like these for all members. You can send your report card electronically to Rita Cassida at rcassida@apwa.net
