Certificate Programs

A certificate program is an education or training workshop designed to provide skills and knowledge on a narrowly defined topic. It is comprehensive of the defined topic and results in a certificate of completion, which may or may not involve assessment. All APWA certificate programs are available for chapter use.

Certificate programs are often confused with certification. The chart below shows the difference between these two easily confused offerings.

Public Fleet Management Certificate — Now Available

This is an eight-hour program, originally scheduled to launch at NASC this year, designed for fleet managers, including new fleet managers or those who aspire to become fleet managers. The program will provide an overview of the many skills and areas of knowledge fleet managers need to be successful, including organization structures, communication, procurement, purchasing, finance, and fleet operations. The workshop will be held over two weeks, two days each week, for two hours, on September 15, 17, 22, and 24th from 8-10 AM Central each class day.
