The APWA Reporter has won the following awards:


2009 ECO Awards

Award of Merit in the Print Magazine category for the May 2009 "Sustainability" issue. The ECO Awards are sponsored by Global Environmental Communications, LLC, a company dedicated to the topic of environmental communication. Global Environmental Communications is the publisher of special reports and publications, including The Environmental Communicator, an annual anthology of articles written by environmental communicators and covering the most current issues in the field.

Award of Merit in the Regular Column category for the "President's Message" in the February, March, April and May 2009 issues. 2005 Publications Management Magnum Opus Award

Honorable Mention in the "Best Overall Editorial" category for the December 2004 issue. The  Publications Management Magnum Opus Awards is designed to honor those publications that deliver strategically, editorially and visually, with a quality consistency of the highest order. Judged by professors in the University of Missouri's School of Journalism, the Magnum Opus recognizes the achievements of editors and designers who work painstakingly every day to elevate the bar of custom publishing.

2005 Trade, Association and Business Publications International's Honorable Mention Award (the "Tabbie")

"Digital Imagery" category for the front cover of the June 2004 issue. Based in Cleveland, Trade, Association and Business Publications International is a worldwide organization dedicated to bringing together editors working for English-language publications worldwide, and encourage a common dedication to editorial ethics and excellence. The Tabbie awards program recognizes worldwide excellence in trade, association and business magazines.


2001 APEX Award for Publication Excellence

"One to Two Person-Produced Magazines & Journals" category for the September 2000 issue. APEX is the annual Awards for Publication Excellence competition, and is open to communicators in corporate, nonprofit and independent settings. APEX is sponsored by the editors of Writing That Works, the newsletter for communicators who write, edit and manage business publications. Writing That Works is published by Communications Concepts, Inc., providing problem-solving information to professional communicators since 1984.
