U.S. Senate Confirms Isabel Guzman as SBA Administrator

On March 16, the U.S. Senate voted to confirm Isabel Guzman as Administrator for the Small Business Administration (SBA), the vote was 87 in favor and 11 opposed.

Prior to her confirmation today, Ms. Guzman was serving as the Director of California’s Small Business Advocate. Previously she served as the Deputy Administrator for the SBA during the Obama Administration. The SBA oversees, or works in conjunction with other federal agencies to administer loan and emergency relief programs for small businesses. Ms. Guzman is expected to be sworn in later this week at the White House.
