Congressman Ron Wright Dies at 67

Representative Ron Wright, a Dallas-area Republican member of the House of Representatives, passed away on February 7 at the age of 67.

Congressman Wright was re-elected to the House in November 2020, having won the Arlington-based seat for the first time in 2018.

Wright was battling lung cancer for the past 11 months and was recently diagnosed with COVID-19. Both he and his wife Susan were admitted to Baylor Hospital in Dallas because of side effects from the virus.

In Congress, Representative Wright served on the Education and Labor and Foreign Affairs Committees.

He is survived by his wife, three children, and nine grandchildren.
