U.S. Senate Committee Schedules Vote on DHS Nominee
The U.S. Senate’s Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has scheduled a vote on January 26, at 11:00 a.m. ET to vote on the nomination Alejandro Mayorkas, to serve as the next Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Mr. Mayorkas previously worked at DHS as a deputy secretary during the Obama Administration.
