Chapter PWX@Home
August=UPROW

The APWA Utilities and Public Rights-of-Way (UPROW) Committee is focused on actively identifying new resources, state-of-the-art technology, and innovative approaches to assist managers, users, contractors, and elected officials in the ongoing formulation of public policy and local and state ordinances, as well as identifying best practices for the management of public rights-of-way.

In August, the opening month of PWX@Home, a 12-month opportunity for learning and collaboration between APWA members, UPROW is the focus.

Chapters that would like to hold events related to the PWX@Home topic of the month are encouraged to label these events with the following intro title “Chapter PWX@Home: [your event name],” along with promoting the event with the hashtag, “#chapterPWXathome”. All chapter events listed through the chapter website templates will automatically be posted on the Chapter/Branch Events Calendar.

In addition, there will be a ‘Spotlight On’ Series – and chapters should consider hosting a virtual watch party with a discussion afterwards or feature a subject matter expert from the local area for a lunch and learn opportunity. Another consideration is hosting a chapter virtual ‘Happy Hour’ and discussing UPROW issues.
