Canada Emergency Student Benefit Act Receives Royal Assent
On Wednesday, April 29, the House of Commons was recalled to consider Bill C-15, An Act respecting Canada emergency student benefits (coronavirus disease 2019). The Bill passed the House of Commons with amendments the same day. The Senate was recalled Friday, May 1, to consider the Bill, which was passed without amendment and received Royal Assent the same day.
