APWA Holds Congressional Briefing on Water Issues
On November 12, the American Public Works Association (APWA), along with the House Public Works and Infrastructure Caucus, held a briefing on water issues impacting public works professionals.
The event was headlined by a panel of APWA experts, including APWA President Bill Spearman, APWA Water Resources Management Committee Chairman Barry Sheff, and APWA Water Resources Management Committee member Evan Pratt. APWA Executive Director Scott Grayson moderated the event.
Congressional staff, representatives from federal agencies, and private sector vendors were in attendance and heard panelists discuss legislation to reauthorize the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program, the recently released proposed revision to the Lead and Copper Rule, and how public works agencies are dealing with Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
