Chapter elections “How-To” available

It is that time of year when chapters are holding officer elections for 2020.  The Election/Polling functionality allows chapters to have the capability to hold elections online.

Once the election results are final, please e-mail the list of officers to Rhonda Wilhite at rwilhite@apwa.net.

Bylaw changes available for review

Proposed changes to the APWA bylaws are listed on pages 4-6 of the November APWA Reporter.

Online voting opens November 12 and closes December 12.  Members will receive email reminders that will contain details and additional information.

Council of Chapters’ Winter Meeting set for February

The Council of Chapters’ Winter Meeting will be held on February 20-21 at the Westin Crown Center in Kansas City.  The Council meetings will be held in conjunction with the APWA Technical Committee meetings.
Those planning to attend should call (816) 474-4400 to make hotel reservations. Be sure to mention the American Public Works Association to receive the special room rate of $161 per room per night plus applicable taxes and fees. Reservations must be made by January 28, 2020, to receive the special rate. 
Additional registration information will be available in early December.

2020 Awards Program Nominations open

Nominations for the 2020 APWA Awards Program are officially open. Nominations for any award can be made by going online at www.apwa.net\awards.

Deadlines for the following awards are:
Excellence in Snow and Ice Control AwardDecember 2, 2019
All Other Awards– March 2, 2020
PACE– June 1, 2020

Apply now for Jennings Randolph International Fellowship

Applications are now being accepted for the 2020 Jennings Randolph International Fellowship Program.

This program is administered by the APWA International Affairs Committee and is funded through the Eisenhower World Affairs Institute and supports travel and participation at a public works conference of one of APWA's international partners and a public works study tour in that country.
Applications must be submitted online by midnight Friday, November 15, 2019.
Fellowships granted for travel to our partner countries are limited to a maximum of $2,500 (USD) to assist with travel costs and other expenses that may be covered by the award.
