National Nomination Processes (Committee & Board) Webinar set for February 7


There will be a webinar at 2:00 p.m. (Central Time) on Thursday, February 7 designed to help members understand how to become involved with APWA at the national level through the committee nomination and appointment or the national board nomination processes.
 
Learn how the process works, the deadlines, requirements and expectations of members, as well as what members can do at the chapter level to encourage participation. 
 
Every APWA member has information that can be shared with their peers. Participating in a committee or serving on the board of directors is one way to share that expertise. The first step to making it happen is finding out how the process works.

National committee nominations are open until March 22. Information can be found at www.apwa.net/nominations.


Chapters should know this about Contracts...
 

It is important that chapter leaders note that all contracts with a $10,000 or greater value must be submitted to National for review prior to the contract being signed. All contracts of $5,000 – 9,999 value must be submitted to National to be kept on file in your chapter records. 

All contracts for chapter administrator services must be submitted to National for review. Contracts should be submitted to Meera Patel, Accountant, Chapters, at mpatel@apwa.net.


To have an APWA Board Member at a chapter event...
 

Chapters that would like to have the APWA President, President-Elect, Past President, an At-Large Director, or your Regional Director attend a chapter event should use the request form provided at the link below.

The same form can be used to request that a member of the APWA staff attend your chapter event. For additional assistance regarding requesting a visit, contact Teresa Hon (800-848-2792, ext. 5224; thon@apwa.net).
 
Any chapters that are interested in conducting a focused membership recruitment and retention assessment and/or hold a strategic planning session should use the same request form.
