Strong attendance for upcoming Chapter Leaders Training and Council of Chapters Meeting

A total of 155 APWA members will be attending the upcoming Chapter Leaders Training and Winter Council of Chapters meeting. The CLT and the Council meetings will be held concurrently on January 31-February 1, 2019 at the Westin Hotel at Crown Center in Kansas City.

Use this link to go to the CLT page to find additional information about the event, as well as the agenda for the two days: www.apwa.net/clt.

This biennial event brings chapter leaders – including presidents, presidents-elect, treasurers, membership committee chairs and others – to Kansas City where they can interact with their peers from all over North America.

This year this two-day workshop provides chapter leaders and Council of Chapters delegates the opportunity to understand how chapters and branches work with APWA National, the services and resources available to chapters from National, and provides an excellent opportunity to network with leaders and delegates from other chapters.

Please contact APWA at ChapterSupport@apwa.net for additional information.

National Nomination Processes (Committee & Board) Webinar set for February 7

Chapters can play an important role in encouraging members to become involved at the national level through the committee nomination and appointment or the national board nomination processes.

APWA is hosting a webinar on the subject on Thursday, February 7 at 2:00 p.m. (Central Time).

Learn how the process works, the deadlines, requirements and expectations of members, as well as what members can do at the chapter level to encourage participation.

Every APWA member has information that can be shared with their peers. Participating in a committee or serving on the board of directors is one way to share that expertise. The first step to making it happen is finding out how the process works.

To register for the webinar or for more information, contact Rhonda Wilhite at rwilhite@apwa.net.
