CPWA Honours 2018 National Public Works Week Award Winning Municipalities
OTTAWA, ONTARIO– October 15, 2018 –
The Canadian Public Works Association (CPWA) is pleased to announce the presentation ceremonies honouring the winners of CPWA’s 2018 National Public Works Week Awards Contest. The CPWA National Public Works Week Awards Contest recognizes public works agencies from across Canada for their public education and outreach activities during National Public Works Week.
National Public Works Week has been celebrated every May since 1960 to recognize the tens of thousands of men and women in North America who provide and maintain the infrastructure and services collectively known as public works. Each year, municipalities throughout the U.S. and Canada celebrate NPWW with open houses, project and facility tours, parades, education, media events, school visits, and career events. Municipalities also use the week to recognize their staff – the public works professionals who plan, design, build, manage and maintain our communities’ infrastructure and who play such an important role in our quality of life.
