FEMA Releases NIMS Report
On June 11, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) released the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Implementation Objectives for Local, State, Tribal, and Territorial Jurisdictions. The primary function of NIMS is to aid in preparation of catastrophic disasters by allowing organizations, nationwide, to work collectively during emergencies.
Additionally, the NIMS Implementation Objectives identifies specific activities that are involved in NIMS implementation for state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) organizations and jurisdictions. For additional information on NIMS—click here
To further assist in this effort, FEMA will conduct a series of 30-minute webinars. Each of the webinars are open to the anyone, however advance registration is required due to space limitations.
