Five Public Works Agencies Receive APWA 2018 Excellence in Snow & Ice Control Awards

This year, five public works agencies will receive the American Public Works Association (APWA) 2018 Excellence in Snow and Ice Control Awards. Established to promote excellence in the management and administration of public works snow and ice operations, the APWA Snow and Ice Control Award also promotes the best practices in snow and ice removal, while minimizing environmental impacts. The 2018 Excellence in Snow and Ice Control Awards will be presented at the APWA North American Snow Conference during May 6-9, 2018 in the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The recipients selected for the 2018 APWA Excellence in Snow and Ice Control Awards include:

• City of Manchester, New Hampshire, Department of Public Works
• City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
• City of River Ralls, Wisconsin
• Lake County, Illinois, Division of Transportation
• Mount Prospect, Illinois, Public Works
