EPA to Hold Series of Webinars on Water Financing Program

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be holding three webinars during the month of December to provide information on the Water Infrastructure Finance Innovation Act (WIFIA) program. WIFIA is a federal credit program administered by EPA for eligible water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
The first webinar, on December 6, will provide an general overview of the WIFIA program and the loans it can provide. Participants will learn about the program’s statutory authority, eligibility requirements, terms and conditions of credit assistance, and federal requirements. In the next session, on December 13, WIFIA program staff will explain the potential financial benefits of WIFIA loans. Participants will learn how the program’s flexible terms and low interest rate can reduce the cost of their projects. In the final webinar, on December 20, WIFIA program staff will explain the application process, review key elements on the letter of interest, and provide tips for submitting a letter of interest.
You can learn more about WIFIA at the EPA website.
