YP Sessions from PWX: Share Your Story

Popular sessions with interactive conversation highlighting innovations from around the country – both big and small – that have been developed and implemented by professionals at all levels of their organizations.

YP Committee Chair Message

The APWA Young Professionals Committee is dedicated to serving our newest members as they grow professionally and within the organization. We recognize the future of public works and APWA relies upon meaningful, ongoing engagement of public works professionals at all levels of the agencies we serve—including those who are new to the profession.

To better serve our young professionals, we continue to build our resources and create fun and inviting spaces for their involvement. Each year the committee identifies goals to accomplish. You can read our goals here.

In 2019, the APWA Board voted to support a YP Summit, focused on bringing together the country’s young leaders to help build connections, share ideas, and grow our ongoing outreach and development—bringing together each of our core YP values. While the 2021 YP Summit has been temporarily postponed as we await conditions to safely come together again, we look forward to bringing together the country’s young leaders when a future date can be scheduled.

If you are interested in learning more about how you can be more involved as a young professional, mentoring young professionals, or would like to be a part of any of our sub-committees, please reach out to myself or your Region Representative.

I look forward to an exciting 2020-21 year!
