The American Public Works Administration (APWA), in collaboration with Norwich University's School of Graduate Studies, offers a Masters in Public Works Administration –Public Works and sustainability concentration. This course of study is ideal for public works professionals looking to assume positions of greater responsibility. The concentration, offered through Norwich University's Master of Public Administration (MPA) online degree program, provides public works professionals with the specialized knowledge to make tangible differences in their organizations and in the quality of life of their communities.
Students will study the following topics:
- Historical development of public works and the role of public policy
- Technological advances, best practices for leadership and management
- public works policy
- Communication challenges
- Public Affairs
- Environmental Enforcement
- Emergency management
To complete the program, students choose from either Public Works Administration II or Strategies and Principles of Sustainability.
