APWA has three (3) main types of eLearning programs:
- APWA Click, Listen & Learn webinars which are interactive educational programs delivered via the Internet (includes audio and visuals). Each program is led by top experts in the field who convey new ideas, new methods, and new technologies in a fast-paced two-hour time frame. Registration for live programs is free for members but there is limited "seating" so spaces can be reserved on a first come-first served basis. There is a $175 per connection fee for nonmembers. The number of people in the room viewing the program is up to you. Upcoming CLLs are listed below and on the APWA Calendar. Additional info about CLLs is available on the FAQs page.
- APWA eCourses are self-paced, online training courses that are delivered online through a learning management system (LMS). This form of eLearning is not delivered via a DVD, CD-ROM, or webinar. Instead, eCourses are usually slide-based with simple navigation buttons (such as Next and Back) and include a tool for tracking progress. APWA's LMS is accessed through the "eLearning Portal." Programs and courses within the Portal must first be purchased via the APWA Store; after purchase, learners can access the portal and begin using the content.
- The APWA Members' Library includes recordings of past Click, Listen & Learn (CLL) webcasts, specific e-books, presentations from prior years’ conferences (PWX & Snow Conference). The library is searchable by topic and is available without any extra fees beyond membership dues. There are no limits to how often members can access or open the items in the Library. No travel. No scheduling hassles. No delays while waiting for someone else's approval. No waiting for registration payment to be processed.
