PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
THIS POSITION IS APPOINTED BY AND SERVES AT THE PLEASURE OF THE MAYOR. To plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities of the Public Works Department including 1% sales tax and grants programs, construction management, street and alley maintenance, traffic maintenance, sanitation and landfill operations, household hazardous waste, transit, recycling, fleet maintenance, and facilities maintenance. Coordinates activities with other city departments and outside agencies; provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Mayor.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and 10 or more years of experience or a Masters Degree and more than 5 years of experience.
