The Boston Water and Sewer Commission has an immediate opening for a Project Manager of Stormwater Infrastructure.

Project Manager - Stormwater Infrastructure
Under the general supervision of the Director of Planning and Sustainability oversee and coordinate the Commission’s environmental sustainability efforts to ensure long-term management of stormwater issues in accordance with best industry practices and the Commission’s Consent Decree. Essential Functions - Design projects for stormwater management including infiltration, storage and treatment. - Assist the Director of Planning and Sustainability, Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer in all matters related to Federal, State and Local regulations related to stormwater. - Develop and maintain written specifications, standard details and manuals for stormwater management. - Review and recommend new technologies for stormwater management. - Incorporate methods of stormwater infiltration and Best Management Practices into other types of Commission projects. - Assist in the review of stormwater detention and infiltration systems for private developments. - Work with public agencies to design and implement stormwater management systems for public ways, parks and other public spaces. - Develop and maintain tracking program to monitor type and location of stormwater management systems. - Utilize Commission sewer and stormwater management models for localized projects. - Utilize models to estimate pollutant loadings into receiving waters. - Update models to reflect stormwater management system installation. - Prepare reports to summarize stormwater pollutant loading improvements as stormwater management systems are installed. - Manage Commission projects by consultants. - Provide professional written reports as directed Requirements - Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, City Planning or Environmental Management - Registration as a Professional Engineer in Massachusetts - Certification in "Green" or other sustainable infrastructure rating system - Five to ten years of experience in the planning, design and engineering of public works projects - Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and review of Best Management Practices for Stormwater Preferred – Master’s Degree in city planning, engineering or environmental management
