Based at our Fountain Hills location, this position is responsible for performing a variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance duties at water/wastewater plants, pumping stations and other facilities in Fountain Hills and Paradise Valley, AZ. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, calibrate and fabricate a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment including portable and stationary generators, control circuits, motors, relays, switch gears, instrumentation, current loops, alarm circuits, engine controls, variable speed and level control devices, and programmable controllers. Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, conduit and lighting fixtures.

Evaluate part and equipment failures; order parts, materials, and supplies required for electrical and mechanical repairs. Assist with repairs on HVAC, mechanical, electrical distribution, hydraulic, and plumbing systems. Ensure preventative maintenance programs are monitored and closed out. Ensure that operational integrity (quality, environment, reliability, health, safety and security) meet required regulatory and company standards

This position requires a high school diploma or GED supplemented by a formal apprenticeship as an electrical/mechanical worker or specialized advanced training in electrical maintenance and repair. Also requires five years of experience as an electrical/mechanical worker in the water and wastewater utility industry. Knowledge of utility system maintenance programs and working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and process control equipment and systems is required. Computer proficiency with Word and Excel.
ADEQ Grade 1 certifications in Water Distribution, Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment and/or Wastewater Collections required. Also requires valid AZ driver’s license with excellent driving record.
