This is a safety-sensitive position within the Public Works Department, functioning as a front line provider of services performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair and operation of the town's buildings. When assigned by the Facilities Supervisor, individuals in this classification will also assist the Streets, Parks, Storm Water and Fleet Maintenance sections of the Public Works Department. Performs preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems within each building, monitors and adjusts controls as needed.

Must be 18 years of age or older with a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and five (5) years experience in Facilities maintenance work. A valid Colorado Driver License and a good driving record or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire is required. Must have had a driver license for a minimum of two (2) years. The ability to repair or troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and other facility systems associated with the town buildings. Certification or license in one or more of these areas is highly desired. Vocational and/or other specialized training in the operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems desired. A combination of education and experience to provide for the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. The ability to successfully complete a background check including but not limited to: criminal history search, drug screen and motor vehicle record (MVR) search is required.


Work hours typically 40 hours per week; day, evening, weekend and/or holiday hours may be required.
