The Technical Project Manager has the primary responsibility of working with the Bureau of Water as the engineer for projects to enhance the efficiency of the treatment plants. This would include producing complete, accurate, biddable, and buildable sets of plans for all the structures in a project. The engineer will perform inspections and audits, manage engineering projects, prepare contracts and specifications, provide asset management, engineering assessment and determine areas of improvement. This requires strong technical and project management skills coupled with familiarity and understanding of the inner workings of water treatment plants This position will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive backflow prevention control program for the elimination of existing cross-connections or the effective containment of sources of contaminations, and prevention of future cross-connections.

Education, Training and Experience

  • Baccalaureate or higher degree in Engineering associated with the production, maintenance and distribution of water.
  • Four (4) years of responsible plant experience with pumps.

 Licenses and Certificates

  • Possession of a valid Pennsylvania State Driver’s License is required.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, an Engineer-in-Trainings (E.I.T.) license within two (2) years.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain certification in backflow prevention testing within two (2) years.
  • Ability to obtain a Water Plant Operator’s license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania within four (4) years.

 

Hiring Range:  $50,499.66 - $60.623.84 Depending on Qualifications
