The City of Annapolis is an historic maritime city located on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.  The Department of Public Works has a vacancy for Fleet Manager which is a new position.

Under the general direction of the Director of Public Works, the Fleet Manager plans, organizes and directs all functions and activities related to the procurement, servicing, maintenance and repair of City vehicles; coordinates and directs personnel, resources and communications to meet City vehicle needs and assure smooth and efficient operations; supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel; and does other related work as required.

ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:  Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.  Three years of increasingly responsible fleet management experience working with a similar type and size of fleet organization as the City’s.  At least two years of experience in a supervisory position.  Journeyman-level experience in the maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel vehicles, along with work involving procurement functions, would be beneficial.  A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.
