Supervise operations staff responsible for various wells and treatment facilities in Fountain Hills and Paradise Valley which include a surface water treatment plant, arsenic removal facilities and a Superfund site. Provide guidance to foreman and operators in general plant and well systems operations, process controls and optimization, troubleshooting and safety practices. Ensure that operational integrity (quality, environment, reliability, health, safety and security) meet required regulatory and company standards. Assist with developing and managing capital and O&M budgets.
This position requires a 2-year college degree in operational discipline or equivalent technical operations experience in lieu of degree. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in utility operations, engineering, construction or related discipline is required with at least 2 years supervisory experience. Requires knowledge of surface water treatment facilities, wells, arsenic removal facilities, VOC treatment facilities, TTHM removal systems, and water distribution systems. Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, Access a must with working knowledge of Oracle and OPS Systems software a must. ADEQ Gr 4 WT and Gr 4 WD certifications required as well as a valid AZ driver’s license with excellent driving record. Project/process management experience desirable.
