The Equipment Operator II position is skilled labor in the operation of a variety of light and heavy construction, maintenance, and equipment repair, which primarily involves responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of various types of equipment used in construction, maintenance, and repair of water lines. This position requires high public contact in all types of situations. It is a mandatory requirement of this position to work overtime, take weekend duty and be on call for emergency work such as snow removal, water breaks, and sewer backups. Must be able to respond within thirty minutes when on-call. This is a safety sensitive position.

Education, Experience, Skills, Formal Training, Licenses and Certifications
Graduation from high school or possession of a GEDValid Colorado Driver License with safe driving record
Class A Commercial Driver License
Two (2) years of experience in the operation of a wide variety of light and heavy equipment used in utilities construction and maintenance work
Must be able to study for and pass the Class 3 Distribution State Certification within 12 months of hire date
Equipment Operator II must possess five years of experience in construction and maintenance
It is a mandatory requirement of this position to work overtime, take weekend duty and be on call for emergency work such as snow removal, water breaks, and sewer backups
Additional education such as college level course work or vocational trade school
