This is an exceptional opportunity to become a contributing team member within Washington County's Facilities and Parks Division, where great pride is taken in the planning, construction, maintenance and repair of nearly 30 County owned buildings (over 1.3 million square feet), grounds, parks and associated hardscape.
Reporting to and collaboration with the Facilities and Parks Services Manager, the Capital Improvement Projects Manager will be responsible for managing the development of a new event center at the Washington County Fairgrounds and other related capital improvement projects for County managed facilities and parks. The development of the event center is expected to be a multi-year project of significant complexity.
This position will require advanced project management experience, specifically in managing comprehensive construction projects and property development. Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management or closely related field and advanced level construction project management experience in large multi-million dollar facilities, commercial buildings, or public works infrastructure projects. The ability to coordinate project development and construction activities with consultants, engineers, contractors, outside agencies and other County Departments to meet the project goals and deadlines will be critical to the success of the incumbent in this position.
