The Construction Inspection Supervisor supervises, schedules and coordinates the day to day field activities of construction inspectors. Conducts training sessions and verifies inspection records for subordinates. Inspects complex or time sensitive construction projects. Assists the City Engineer in preparing inspection policies. Prepares monthly inspection reports through compilation of statistical data. Evaluates construction inspectors and conducts plan reviews as required. Interprets MAG and City construction specifications and details, coordinates construction projects, and assists in preparing the budget for the construction inspectors.

Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field including: Public Works, Public Works Construction, Municipal Engineering, or Subdivision/Development Construction. Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with a two year associate's degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school. Position also requires a valid Driver's License.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in performing construction inspections for public works projects and supervising the activities of construction inspectors with varying levels of experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and be effective in both oral and written communications. This individual will also have the skill to provide strong supervisory leadership and inspire trust, accountability, and high standards of professionalism and ethics within the inspections staff.
