The San Joaquin County Public Works Department is seeking a highly experienced, self-motived leader to join a progressive, public service employer who provides great opportunities for diverse assignments and professional growth. The ideal candidate will have professional engineering experience with a public sector employer in the area of Water Resource Engineering.
Well-qualified candidates will possess exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, as the position requires frequent interaction and communication with department management, engineering staff, contractors and staff from various County departments.
Experience: Two years as an Engineer IV in San Joaquin County OR two years experience as either a Registered Civil Engineer or Traffic Engineer in an organization performing diversified public works activities.
Education: Must have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology.
Licenses & Certificates: Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Civil Engineer or Traffic Engineer as issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors; and possession of a valid California driver’s license are required.
