Project Manager/Administrator – Public Works/Capital Projects
Position 1: Manage capital improvement projects within the Capital Projects Transportation Program and other programs as needed. This includes management of consultants employed to design and permit projects, preparation of final bidding documents for projects, review design studies, plans and specifications, assisting with preparation of permit applications, and review CIP budget information. Position may include mentoring as needed. Position will report directly to the Design Manager.
Position 2: Manage all aspects of construction contracts for Public Works CIP Environmental & Utilities Projects, with major emphasis on sewer rehabilitation including pipe rehabilitation, lift station rehabilitation, and stormwater rehabilitation related to inflow and infiltration. Coordinate and project management of outside consulting engineers or internal staff in the preparation of master plans, studies, hydraulic modeling, design, permitting, services during bidding (SDB), services during construction (SDC), cost estimates, and start-up services.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, plus five (5) years related CIP Design or Project Management experience. A Masters Degree in related field may substitute for one year of required experience. Highly related project experience may substitute for required degree on a year for year basis. Possession of a Driver’s License is also required.
Preferred Qualifications: Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Florida
