The Washington State Department of Ecology's Northwest Regional Office in Bellevue, WA is looking for an Environmental Engineer 3. This is a project position that is funded through September 2020.

As the Professional environmental engineer and site manager this position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of environmental restoration at cleanup sites. They will provide professional monitoring of remedial actions and construction and coordinate activities and schedules with on-site contractors. This position will also maintain detailed records of remedial actions, constructions, and interactions with contractors, property owners, and municipal representatives and review and advise on cost projections and expenditures. This position will also evaluate restoration and construction activities for compliance with Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) and other relevant laws and regulations.

Additional tasks include: the review and evaluation of contaminated site investigation and cleanup activities under the jurisdiction of the Toxics Cleanup Program at the Northwest Regional Office in the Uplands unit, management and/or oversight of the investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites for compliance with MTCA and other relevant laws and regulations. This position will also apply environmental and construction management engineering processes expertise to the evaluation of cleanup plans, data, and results and will make evaluations of completeness of cleanup activities for compliance with MTCA.
