We currently have an outstanding opportunity available for a Construction Inspector to inspect all levels of public works construction in progress by contractors to insure work meets contract specifications, permit limitations or work orders and conforms with State and City safety regulations.
This challenging position requires three years of public works construction inspection experience or two years of public works construction experience and either one year of sub-professional public works engineering design or public works construction experience at the supervisory level. Knowledge of construction methods, procedures, materials, and the accepted standards of construction; ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications; ability to secure the cooperation of others and establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, workmen, supervisors, fellow employees, and the public; and a valid California Class “C” driver’s license are also required.
