The City of Ankeny, Iowa is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Public Works Director/City Engineer. The Director will plan, organize, and coordinate the functions of the Public Works Department and provide technical and administrative leadership for a variety of public improvement projects and activities, including streets, engineering, traffic signals, water, sanitary and storm sewer utilities, and infrastructure maintenance.
Must have graduated from an accredited college or university with a BS in engineering, and have seven (7) years responsible professional public works experience and/or professional engineering experience related to public infrastructure planning and development, including demonstrated administrative leadership. Must also possess a professional engineering license and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Iowa. Starting salary range is $94,739-$104,450 DOQ, plus excellent benefits.
