OVERVIEW: Responsible for assisting with directing the various activities of the Borough’s PW Department consisting of engineering services, capital projects management, facility and vehicle maintenance, road maintenance, solid waste operation and maintenance, and water and sewer operation and maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS: BA in Engineering, Architecture, or land surveying or related field. Eight (8) years of progressively responsible management experience in civil engineering or public works operations including two (2) years of supervisory experience. Registered as professional engineer, architect, or land surveyor in the State of Alaska or must have the ability to become registered within one year after date of employment. Required ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 within 1 year of hire. Other ICS courses may be required according to position held within the EOC. Valid Alaska driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and criminal history.
