This division manager position is responsible for the overall management of the operation and maintenance of the City’s wastewater collection and water distribution system, as well as the operation and maintenance of two water treatment facilities, a wastewater treatment facility and a reclaimed water treatments facility. Under the direction of the Public Works and Utilities Director, the Utilities Operation Manager is responsible for budget development and tracking, short and long-range capital improvement project planning and ensuring the City is compliant with local, state and federal water, wastewater and reclaimed water treatment regulations. Work also involves planning, controlling, supervising and evaluating the daily operations for the Division. The position also actively participates in the identification, planning and prioritization of capital improvement projects that are related to the Division. Supervision is exercised over a professional staff of three Superintendents and support staff. This leadership position plays a vital role in the citywide management team, providing critical input to the city’s strategic plan and performance measures.
