Volunteer oppportunities are a great way to be involved, network, and give back to your profession. Opportunities are available on both the national level and through your local chapter:
National level opportunities (A call for nominations is issued each year for openings on technical and standing committees)
There are volunteer opportunities at the North American Snow Conference and PWX (formerly known as the International Public Works Congress & Exposition-"Best Show in Public Works"), however the host chapter for the event typically handles volunteer coordination. For information about who to contact at the host chapter, visit the chapter's website. For example the 2016 PWX event is in Minneapolis, Minnesota, so the Minnesota chapter will be coordinating volunteers.
Chapter level opportunities
To indicate any opportunities you are interested in at the local chapter level, log in to your account online (Members Only) then complete the "Chapter Interest Survey" that is listed on the Member Tools page.
