Winter Maintenance Supervisor Certificate Workshop

Sunday, May 4
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The APWA Winter Maintenance Supervisor (WMS) Certificate Workshop provides a well-rounded overview of all aspects of snow and ice control for individuals charged with supervising their winter maintenance operations. It’s a great way for attendees to start off the conference. The goal is for participants to:

  • expand their knowledge of planning and preparation
  • increase their understanding of winter weather and how it affects operations
  •  identify how to better use traditional and alternative chemicals
  • consider what equipment is available and how to maintain it
  • expand understanding of snow & ice control techniques
  • appreciate the environmental impacts of winter maintenance policies
  • stress responsible material application

This is an all day workshop with testing throughout the day. Attendees receive a Certificate of Completion upon achieving a score or 80% or above. This is a great training opportunity for new supervisors, senior operators or anyone wanting a good overall understanding of winter maintenance operations.

This workshop is also available to be hosted by your chapter. For more information visit the Winter Maintenance Supervisor Certificate page.
