When Hurricane Matthew damaged over a mile of Florida State Road A1A in October 2016, the Governor asked that the road be rebuilt and opened in 15 days. Hear from the contractor that took on the challenge to rebuild the road within an unprecedented 30-day schedule. Working extended shifts but restricted from night work due to turtle nesting season, they used dedicated crews and equipment along with the latest paving technologies in warm asphalt mix to complete the project ahead of schedule.
