Stephen Coyle, AIA, CNU, founding partner of LCA Town Planning & Architecture, LLC, now HDR/ Town Planning, has over 30 years of experience as an architect, town and circulation planner, urban designer, and public facilitator in a wide range of public and private projects around the nation. His specialty is planning new and redeveloping older affordable, sustainable, and transit-oriented public and private developments. Steve has worked at multiple scales and environments to enhance the sustainability of projects from block-sized to neighborhoods. He has synthesized his experiences in both design and development into a holistic approach that integrates architecture, the environment, circulation, codes, market, finance, the political process, and development implementation of sustainable, affordable places. He has lectured widely about sustainability and affordability in the fields of planning and design.
Steve is the co-founder of the National Charrette Institute (NCI), a non-profit organization that trains professionals in the art and practice of facilitating Charrettes - a collaborative process that empowers people who are critical to a project to work together and support the results.

Neal is the Deputy Director of Facilities Management for Johnson County, Kansas. He is a registered architect and has directed the planning, design and construction of over $300 million in new capital construction for two public entities. In addition to this, Neal spent 10 years in private practice with two nationally recognized architectural firms. He was the 2000 president of the Kansas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Neal is a member of the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) and the Unites States Green Building Council (USGBC).
Neal received both his Bachelor and Master of Architecture from the University of Kansas. He is also a faculty member of the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Urban Design, teaching several courses in the Master of Architectural Management program, including Project Delivery, Architect-Client Relations and Alternative Careers for Architects.
