(NOTE: Please save a copy of your completed application on your computer. If you encounter problems with submitting your application, you can email it as an attachment to DCSCENTER@apwa.net.)
The Public Works Leadership Fellow (PWLF) program is the fourth level of the Leadership and Management career path offered through the Donald C. Stone Center. With nearly half of the current leaders in public works nearing retirement age, the PWLF program was created to meet the critical need to foster and develop leadership skills in the next generation of public works executives. Leadership Fellows will have a unique opportunity to invest in the future through a focused mentorship program. This is, in essence, succession planning on a grand scale.
Entry Requirements:
From now until September 1, 2016, candidates with 20+ years of experience can be eligible for the PWLF designation using the “grandfather” option. This option will only be available until September 1, 2016; all applicants after that date will be required to complete the Level 3 Public Works Executive program before entering the PWLF program. There is no special process for applying to the PWLF program with the grandfather option. Simply include your 20 years of relevant work experience on the PWLF application. Acceptance to the program will be determined by the Program Council.
