The House and Senate Passed the Transportation Bill! The President is Expected to Sign It by July 6th
Thank you for reaching out to your Congressional Representatives and urging them to vote for MAP-21! On June 29, the U. S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate gave final clearance to the $105 billion Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21), reauthorizing federal highway, transit and safety programs at current levels plus an inflation factor through September 30, 2014. MAP-21 will create and sustain jobs, provide stable funding for state and local transportation programs, and it directs needed investment toward modernizing, improving, and repairing our roads, bridges and public transportation systems.
